Instructions for Posters

Posters boards will be provided and are available from registration on May 6th in the morning. It is suggested that you bring either Velcro tape or “StikkiWax Reusable Adhesive” to affix your poster to the board. Posters should be set-up no later than lunchtime on the first day of the conference.

Posters will need to be available until May 6th in the morning. Poster sessions will take place during breaks and during the reception before the banquet on May 5th. Authors are encouraged to be available for discussion during the poster sessions.

The poster board surface area will be 4’ (122cm) high and 4’ (122 cm) wide. Prepare a label indicating:

  • the title of your paper
  • the author(s) for the top of your poster space.

The lettering for this section should not be less than 1” (2.54 cm or 72 point) high. A copy of your abstract (300-words or less), in large typescript, should be posted in the upper left-hand corner of the poster board or you can print copies and have an envelope hanging beside your poster for distribution.

Do not mount illustrations on heavy boards as weight may make your poster difficult to keep in position on the poster board. Bear in mind that your illustrations will be viewed from distances of 3’ (113 cm) or more. All lettering should be at least 3/8” (.95 cm or 27 point) high, preferably in a bold font, or if hand-lettered, written with a regular felt-tip pen (not fine-point). Be sure to provide a clear label for each section of your presentation. Hand-written material will not be accepted.
